According to information shown by this museum exhibit, VP-TBR first flew in 1946 as G-AHWZ (the old registration can be made out under the paintwork) and was based at Elstree and White Waltham until it was sold to Trinidad and Tobago in January 1956. It was later re-registered as 9Y-TBR but never flew with these marks, with the CofA lapsing in May 1960. It was disassembled in the early to mid 1970âs and crated for transport to the US where it remained in storage initially near Houston, Texas, and from about 2012 in Lowell, Indiana. It was acquired by the Illinois Aviation Museum about four years ago and is currently awaiting restoration.
