This fibreglass replica was made in c.2015 and mounted in a playground in the town's main street. The original aircraft is believed to be held locally. It was c/n 66-6711, issued to the RNZAF under the Empire Air Training Scheme in 1941 and used by 1 and 2 SFTS. It was sold on the civil market in 1950 and then displayed in the playground between 1963 and its removal and replacement with this replica.
