Photo by Joan Turner. ex NC44639, N44639 and N777V before being registered in Canada in 1958. Stored at Winnipeg by CFB Heritage Park. From a correspondent - I believe the photo may have been taken in mid 1966. The aircraft was registered on July 30 1963 to Margaret Carson's Ottawa Aero Services. The previous owner being Automotive Products Co. Ltd in Verdun, PQ. The aircraft would later be registered to Weldy Phipps Atlas Aviation, with his CoR application dated October 6, 1965. It was involved in an accident in Grise Fiord, on May 6 1966 flown by well known pilot Rocky Parsons. The aircraft was later sold to Hooker Air Services in 1971. A similar picture but a different angle found online depicts the Atlas Aviation marking behind the passenger door, hidden in this image.
