In early 1980s the aircraft was used for drug smuggling by owners under guise of importing motor alternators from Ireland. Volume imported and ostentatious behaviour of gang alerted Police. On its final flight it was tracked all the way from North Africa before an attempt to make an illegal landing at disused Moreton-Vallence airfield near Gloucester. There followed a chase by a Police AS350B before the aircraft was forced to land. Pilot and gang on ground were arrested & a/c impounded by Police. Ex N8664N. Crashed on take off Meppershall Airfield, near Shefford, Bedfordshire 27 November 2000.
