This photo shows the sole D-450 EGRETT I (c/n 10001), which was the proof-of-concept vehicle for the EGRETT series. It was followed by two D-500 similar EGRETT I aircraft (c/n 10002/10003), two D-520 Egrett II/Strato 1 aircraft (c/n 10004/10005) with finalized design, and a single G 520T Egrett II two-seat trainer (c/n 10200). Being international collaborations, the D-450 and D-500 were not prefixed G like the rest of the Grob types, and they used a hyphen (as opposed to German designations which often don't have one). Just for the record, six Egretts were built altogether: D-450 EGRETT I [N14ES] (c/n 10001) D-500 EGRETT I [D-FGEE] (c/n 10002) â later updated to G 520 standards [D-FSTN] > [N520EG] (c/n 10003) â later updated to G 520 standards G 520 Egrett II [N520DM] (c/n 10004) (owned by E-Systems) [D-FGRO] (c/n 10005) (owned by Grob, renamed the Strato 1) G 520T Egrett II [D-FDST] > [D-FARA] > [VH-ARA] > [D-FHHH] (c/n 10200)
