Rolled out July 21 1971, delivered Austrian Airlines (AUA) August 26 as OE-LDD. This is one of my very first pictures ever taken, when I was 12, showing as -LDD taxiing in after landing RWY 31 (the sole runway in BUD at that time). It was a long time ago and on that the occasion I was on the observation terrace to wave farewell to my father, departing for Warsaw on board a LOT â Polish Airlines IL-18! February 26 1982 a/c bought by Texas International Airlines as N524TX. October 31 merged with Continental Airlines. Bought by New York Air April 20 1984. To Texas Air Leasing Corporation August 1986, where New York Air leased back from. February 1 1987 the latter company merged with Continental Airlines as well. Re-registered as N14524 for CO January 1991 via First Security Bank of Utah. WFU and stored Mojave, California September 1999. Aeroturbine Inc. bought October 27 1999 and leased Linea Aeropostal Venezolana May 30 2000 as YV-49C, which company finally bought her July 2006 as YV-143T.
