Involved in a mid-air collision over the Portland Exercise Areas with F-16A J-139 of 323 Squadron, RNLAF, on 19th September 1996, with both aircraft recovering safely to RNAS Yeovilton. The F-16 lost part of the port stabiliser and the Sea Harrier lost its radome. Put into storage at RAF St Athan the following month, the aircraft was moved to BAE Warton for assessment five years later but was considered to be beyond economical repair and returned to storage at St Athan before being sold for scrap in September 2002. She was later brought up to static display standard and went on display somewhere in Cheshire. The F-16 was repaired, carried on in service and following refurbishment went to the Chilean AF as 731 in 2007.
