This dull and anonymous looking 737 was photographed at Bournemouth sometime in the early 1990's, possibly early in 1993. I've only submitted it because she was once G-AXNC 'Isambard Kingdom Brunel' with Britannia Airways. She entered service with them on the 12th May 1970 operating until 12 January 1993 when she was sold to Air Atlanta Icelandic. Strangely, the registration TF-ABD was also allocated to one of their Tristars and is now used by a Piper Cub! Obviously the Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration like to confuse! She wouldn't remain in Europe for long, she became CC-CSD with National Airlines of Chile on the 22nd March 1994. She was later converted to 737-200F standard and passed to Lan Chile Cargo on the 1st February 2004. She was last noted in open storage at Santiago-Arturo Merino Benitez Airport in March 2008 after being retired after nearly thirty-eight years of airline service.
